VATNZ and The Virtual Royal New Zealand Air Force is proud to announce the Virtual Wings Over Wanaka VATSIM Airshow. Coming to your screens On 15th April. All VATSIM users will have the chance to sit back and enjoy some quality flying by fully trained VSOA pilots at Wanaka Aerodrome (NZWF) near Queenstown, New Zealand.
Currently our members are planning displays in a variety of aircraft featuring:
- vRNZAF C130 Hercules
- vRNZAF T6 Texans
- vRNZAF Historical Jets (A4 Skyhawk, Strikemaster, Aermacchi)
- Multiple Warbird Displays including a Spitfire, P51 Mustang and Avro Anson.
- WW2 Airfield Attack
- Special Visit and display from vRAAF PC21 Roulettes.
- And More
To view the airshow, simply connect to VATSIM in an aircraft of your choice at Wanaka, or fly in from an airport of your choice to enjoy the show. We do request that all members flying in to be on the ground in Wanaka by 1545 NZDT. As the airport will close at 1600 NZDT. Alternatively the event will be streamed to Twitch (TBC)
