VATNZ is excited to be hosting the departure airport for the first leg of the second-ever 24 Hours of VATSIM event. This first leg will take pilots across the ditch from Christchurch (NZCH) to Sydney (YSSY).
Pilots:
Departure slots for this event are available through the Vatsim booking system, which can be found here.
We kindly ask that if you cannot get a departure slot for NZCH, you avoid the airport and surrounding airspace for the duration of the event.
Controllers:
We need as many controllers as possible to get this event to run well and put on a good showing to the rest of Vatsim. ATC will be rostered; bookings can be found at the top of this page. Aerodrome controllers are only required for the three hours around the departure window (0400z-0600z). An initial controller roster will be published on the Wednesday before the event and finalised on Friday. If you apply and are rostered, you are expected to attend your slot.
