Kia Ora Everyone!
With the sun shining longer in our southern blue skies, it's time to head to the West Coast and visit Hokitika. Brush up on your hand flying skills or make a short stop to check out the scenery and surrounding area, all aircraft and helicopters welcome!
This year the fly in events will take place one Friday a month spanning from October to February between 1930L-2100L(0630Z-0800Z). The events will focus on a single field with controllers staffing the surrounding positions so you can fly your choice of IFR or VFR to see the luscious landscapes of New Zealand.
This month's fly-in field is the vibrant small airfield of Hokitika (NZHK) on the South Island's Wild West Coast, with Franz Josef and Fox Glacier a little over half an hour away, and Greymouth only a short trip to the North, there's plenty variety of airfields for you to explore.
We hope to see as many of you there either controlling or flying!
