Gore (NZGC)
Owned by the Southland District Aeroclub and the Southland Aeroclub, Gore airfield is the second-busiest aerodrome in Southland. Gore plays host to Flight Training, both fixed wing and some helicopter training. A large maintenance division is also based at Gore who own and operate a fleet of fletchers for crop dusting around the Southland plains. In early summer, portable lights are installed at Gore to play part in night-flying training on grass strips - the only lit grass strip in the country.
