Events Manager

Responsible to:

  • Events Director

Direct Reports:

  • Events Staff

Duties:

  • Assists the Events Director with operations of the Events Department (Operations and Projects).
  • Maintain Events Department Standards
  • Assist in the organisation, promotion and execution of regularly occurring and one-off official VATNZ events.
  • Aids in developing relationships with other divisions' and organisations' event staff to arrange support for VATNZ events and provide support for their events.
  • Assists in coordinating with VATNZ controllers for events.

  • Be a general member in good standing with VATNZ and VATSIM.
  • Have demonstrated understanding of VATNZ airspace and contained positions.
  • Have demonstrated good knowledge of the VATSIM Code of Conduct and Code of Regulations.
  • Be able to work well in a volunteer organisation and understand the expectations of a volunteer staff member.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team where required.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Have proven ability in the management of a small group of people.
